FAH submitted comments to AHRQ on their Request for Information on Creating a National Healthcare System to Advance Patient Safety. Our recommendations include test new care models that address workforce issues, optimize the use of Patient Safety Organizations (PSO), distinguish between preventable and non-preventable harms, adjust hospital programs to account for small numbers, expand the list of patient safety harms outside of the hospital setting, and remove barriers to innovation. Read the letter here.
