The Federation of American Hospitals is pleased to announce the addition of Katie Wise to our team. On November 9th, Katie will be joining the Federation as Vice President, Legislation.
I am excited to have Katie join our advocacy team. She has been highly respected in health care policy in the House for several years with valuable hands-on knowledge of hospital issues and the legislative process.
During her time on Capitol Hill, she built strong relationships with a broad spectrum of health care stakeholders from patients groups to payers to providers. I am confident Katie will contribute significantly to our efforts on behalf of FAH’s more than 1,000 patient groups.
Before joining the Federation, Katie was the Legislative Director for Representative Vern Buchanan (R-FL). Her responsibilities not only included leading the Congressman’s legislative team, but she also served as Associate Staff on the House Way and Means Committee and worked closely with House leadership.
Prior to Rep. Buchanan, Katie worked as Legislative Director for Rep. Mike Fitzpatrick (R-PA) and served in various roles in Rep. Mary Fallin’s (R-OK) office.
Katie is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Public Policy from Georgetown University and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Rhodes College in Memphis.
