FAH Presents 2024 Corris Boyd Diversity in Healthcare Leadership Award to Shaleta Dunn Vick

ORLANDO – The Federation of American Hospitals (FAH) presented Shaleta Dunn Vick, Vice President for Supplier Diversity and Social Investment Impact at Vizient, Inc., with the 2024 Corris Boyd Diversity in Healthcare Leadership Award on Monday.

Dunn Vick’s accomplishments were recognized during the FAH Annual Conference and Business Exposition in Orlando, FL.

Her nominators said, “She embodies the heart of what this award represents – transformative leadership, commitment to diversity and inclusion, and an unparalleled dedication to excellence. Her achievements have not only enriched our company but have also paved the way for broader, industry-wide progress.”

During her presentation speech, Lynelle Nordloh, Vice President, Corporate Accounts for Siemens Healthineers and the FAH Exposition Advisory Committee Chair, said, “For more than 20 years, Shaleta has carried unwavering strength that sparked a focus on diversifying the supply chain and creating transparency and collaboration with members and suppliers.”

It is an FAH tradition to surprise the award recipient, and this year was no different; Dunn Vick was unaware of the honor until she was called to the stage. Boyd’s wife, Vanessa, was also in attendance and helped present the award.

“This award is given annually in memory of our late friend. Corris Boyd was an exceptional person and an outstanding leader in workplace diversity. It is our way of keeping his legacy of excellence going,” said Kerry Price, Senior Vice President of Operations at FAH.

The Corris Boyd Diversity in Healthcare Leadership Award honors an individual or company that has made an outstanding contribution to fostering leadership in the health care industry. FAH established the award in 2007 to honor the late Corris Boyd, who spent his career working with hospital management companies and group purchasing organizations. Corris committed his life to diversity and excellence in health care. He believed that leadership development is crucial to success and was devoted to the advancement of minority- and women-owned business enterprises.

FAH is honored to present Shaleta Dunn Vick with the 2024 Corris Boyd Diversity in Healthcare Leadership Award and extends its thanks for her outstanding work and embodiment of the ideals the award represents.
