FAH Welcomes New Staff, Announces Promotion

WASHINGTON – The Federation of American Hospitals is pleased to announce the additions of Tilithia McBride, Vice President, Quality and Abby Kaericher, Vice President, Legislation and Associate General Counsel. In addition, FAH veteran Jonathan Jagoda is being promoted to Senior Vice President, Legislative Affairs. 

“We are excited to have Jonathan step into this new role. During his time at the Federation, he has proven to be a valuable member of our team with exceptional strategic vision, and I look forward to his continued leadership and counsel,” said FAH President and CEO Chip Kahn. “I am also thrilled to have two people the caliber of Tilithia and Abby joining our staff. Each brings extensive experience to their new positions and will provide important perspective for our members and their patients. For more than 20 years, Tilithia has worked in various roles in the areas of health care quality and public policy advocacy – a background that will be invaluable as we deal with the regulatory ramifications of COVID-19. Abby’s legal experience and deep understanding of the legislative and political arena will help us navigate the ever-changing Congressional landscape.”  

Jonathan, who joined FAH in February 2018, will lead the Federation’s government relations functions, managing and directing FAH’s legislative strategy and advocacy.

Tilithia was most recently the Director, Quality Payment & Delivery Reform at GlaxoSmithKline. She has also run her own health care consulting firm and served in positions at Avalere Health and the American College of Cardiology Foundation. Tilithia has had numerous papers published, including several in the Journal of Clinical Oncology. She has her bachelor’s degree from Lincoln Unversity.

Abby was most recently the Health Policy Advocate and Antitrust Associate in the Washington, D.C. law office of Hall, Render, Killian, Heath, & Lyman. She also served at the Federal Trade Commission Abby earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Indiana University and her Law Degree from Saint Louis University School of Law.
