Rebecca Lira

Vice President, Government Relations and Political Affairs

Rebecca represents the Federation before the U.S. House of Representatives and U.S. Senate, advocating on a wide range of critical issues to the tax-paying hospital community. She brings over a decade of experience in public affairs and advocacy from the executive and legislative branches of government, and political committee work.

Rebecca most recently served as Associate Director for Business Outreach in the White House Office of Public Liaison under President Trump. In this capacity, she led private sector stakeholder engagement and grassroots issue advocacy campaigns surrounding the Administration’s major policy initiatives in the health care, technology and small business sectors. She worked on landmark legislation including the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017; the United States, Mexico, Canada Trade Agreement; and many others.

Before joining the administration, she served as Deputy Director of Member Services at the Republican National Committee, where she managed engagement efforts on behalf of the Chairman among the state parties and played a pivotal role in coordinating the 2016 and 2012 Republican National Conventions and Republican primary debates.

She held various roles in the office of Rep. Steve Scalise, current Minority Whip in the House, and she began her career at the White House during the George W. Bush Administration.

Rebecca has a bachelor’s degree from The College of William and Mary.
