Newly Designed FAH.org Unveiled

We are very excited to share the launch of the newly designed FAH.org, as well as a new infographic entitled “Health Care Connected,” which highlights the impact of FAH facilities in the communities we serve.

The new site offers visitors an experience that is easy to navigate, filled with crucial information about the tax-paying hospital community, and meets modern security standards.

Using the latest design features, FAH staff and the team at 720 Strategies constructed a site that highlights key priorities, including membership initiatives, up-to-the-minute policy news, the Hospitals In Focus Podcast and live social media feeds.

Key pages with revamped layouts include:

  • Issues and Advocacy: Conveniently find FAH’s positions on a host of health care issues and programs, including Medicare, Medicaid, quality and patient safety, health information technology and hospital preparedness.
  • Hospitals In Focus Podcast: Easily peruse  all 40+ episodes of our podcast. As a key part of our advocacy efforts, each episode shines a light on everything hospitals; from the advancements in-patient care to how a hospital benefits its community.
  • Media Center: Quickly find the latest statements from the Federation and our CEO.

In addition, the new infographic “Health Care Connected” will be featured prominently on the revamped site. It highlights the footprint of FAH member facilities and shows the critical role our hospitals play in the health care ecosystem.

FAH is the national representative of more than 1,000 tax-paying community hospitals and health systems throughout the United States. Our members include hospitals in urban and rural America, as well as inpatient rehabilitation, psychiatric, long-term acute care and cancer hospitals. These tax-paying hospitals account for nearly 20% of U.S. hospitals and serve their communities proudly while providing high-quality, affordable health care to their patients.

The infographic also draws attention to the fact that tax-paying hospitals are leaders in providing charity care. A recent study in Health Affairs found that they had the highest charity care-to-expense ratio in 46% of the hospital service areas containing all 3 types of hospital ownership (non-profit, government, tax-paying) across the U.S.

We continue to work diligently to provide the expertise and insight of our member companies to federal legislators and regulators, as well as to other stakeholders, the general public, academia and the media.
