The Federation of American Hospitals is pleased to announce a new addition to our public affairs team. Next week, Sean Brown will be joining the Federation as Vice President, Communications.
Sean is a veteran of Capitol Hill, where he has gained a reputation as a hardworking communicator. As a former reporter, he brings invaluable media experience and a strong understanding of the key issues driving coverage of the health care industry.
Before joining FAH, Sean served as the Communications Director for Congressman Joe Barton (R-TX), Chairman Emeritus of the House Energy and Commerce Committee. While there, he was responsible for creating, implementing, and executing all aspects of Rep. Barton’s media strategy. Prior to his time on Capitol Hill, Sean spent 10 years working as a television reporter in Arkansas and Florida.
Sean will have an immediate impact on our communications efforts by growing our presence across traditional and social media platforms. Sean is a strategic thinker who will focus on forward-looking plans to continue advancing the priorities of our more than 1000 hospital members.
Sean is a native Texan who earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Communication from The George Washington University in Washington, DC and his Masters in Broadcast Journalism from Northwestern University in Chicago, IL.
