As the Vice President, Communications, Sean is responsible for overseeing communications strategy, which includes creating media plans, development of press relations, website content and writing blogs and speeches. Sean is a veteran of Capitol Hill, where he has gained a reputation as a hardworking communicator. As a former reporter, he brings invaluable media experience and a strong understanding of the key issues driving coverage of the health care industry.
Before joining FAH, Sean served as the Communications Director for Congressman Joe Barton (R-TX), Chairman Emeritus of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, for more than seven years. While there, he was responsible for creating, implementing, and executing all aspects of Rep. Barton’s media strategy. Prior to his time on Capitol Hill, Sean spent 10 years working as a television reporter in Arkansas and Florida.
Sean is a native Texan who earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Communication from The George Washington University in Washington, DC and his Masters in Broadcast Journalism from Northwestern University in Evanston, IL.
