Erin Richardson is Vice President and Associate General Counsel at the Federation of American Hospitals (FAH) where she provides counsel on legal, regulatory, and legislative policy issues, including Medicare billing and payment, access to health care coverage, hospital accreditation, health information technology, privacy and security, delivery system reform, and fraud and abuse. She also staffs the Federation’s Legal & Operational Policy Committee, the Medicaid & Managed Care Committee, and the HIT Taskforce.
Before joining the Federation, Erin served as Senior Policy Advisor at the White House Domestic Policy Council under President Obama, focusing on Medicare, delivery system reform, and health information technology. Prior to that, she was professional staff and health counsel for the House Ways and Means Health Subcommittee. Erin also worked as the Legislative Assistant for Health for Senator Sherrod Brown of Ohio and was a Winston Health Policy Fellow at the Committee on Ways and Means.
Erin received her J.D. from Columbia Law School, Masters of Arts in Bioethics from Case Western Reserve University, and a Bachelor of Arts in English, magna cum laude, from Wellesley College.
