Effective March, 2009, the Federation of American Hospitals (FAH) has discontinued publishing Hospital Outlook, a newsletter containing news and analysis of leading health policy issues of interest to the investor-owned hospital community. The Federation of American Hospitals compiles and publishes an annual Directory of Investor-Owned Community Hospitals, Hospital Management Companies and Health Systems, Residential Treatment Facilities and Centers, and Key Management Personnel. The Directory, utilized widely by health care executives, is the only publication of its kind in the U.S. and contains a comprehensive list of investor-owned hospitals and residential treatment facilities and centers, as well as statistical data of investor-owned/managed community facilities, including geographical and management company distribution.
