Becoming a Member

The Federation of American Hospitals (FAH) offers four categories of membership: Institutional, Associate and Individual Student.

Institutional Membership criteria must include accreditation by The Joint Commission (TJC) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), or by Medicare or Medicaid certification, and duly licensed to operate in the state in which it is located. Click here for Institutional Member application.

Associate Membership consists of the following categories: hospital associations, medical societies, law firms and foundations; suppliers (other than management companies) of services and/or products to the health care industry; and, management companies that do not own or manage hospitals but instead have contracts limited to certain functions, services, or areas of the hospital.
