Nearly 1400 attendees representing hospitals and hospital management companies, Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs), Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs), and hospital supplier companies gathered in early March in Washington, D.C., for the Federation of American Hospitals’ 2010 Public Policy Conference and Business Exposition.

The general session speakers included HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius; Senator Bob Corker (R-TN); House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-MD); Senator Ben Nelson (D-NE); Senator Evan Bayh (D-IN); David Blumenthal, M.D., National Coordinator for Health Information Technology, HHS; and, Award Winning Entertainer and Writer Columnist, The New York Times and Commentator, CBS Sunday Morning, Ben Stein.
